24,000 Indonesian-made baby cribs have been recalled because of safety concerns.
The concern is that children will be able to fall out of the cribs because the mattress doesn’t lower all the way. This allows the baby to be higher in the crib and giving them the chance to fall out.
So far no injuries have been reported due to the crib railings but that does not mean they should be used and sold still. The cribs were sold between November 2005 and November 2007 in various baby specialty stores.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission expressed concern over what parents are placing in their cribs. 241 children under 5 died in accidents relating to items in their cribs. Soft bedding was the leading factor.
