Walgreen Faces Slip and Fall Lawsuit

by Administrator 30. May 2008 02:05
A woman slipped in a Walgreens pharmacy store, causing serious injuries. Sharon Robinson, the woman who fell, was walking near the cosmetics counter when she lost her balance on a wet floor and fell. Robinson is suing the store for failing to properly follow safety procedures, which include making sure that the floor is dry and safe to walk on. Robinson claims the store's negligence in the matter is the cause of her injuries. She also claims that the store failed to display any kind of warning sign to let customers know that the floor in that area was wet and failed to warn customers that a cleaning substance had been used that would make the floor unsafe to navigate. Robinson claims to have suffered injuries to her back, neck, and shoulders. She seeks compensation for the lost wages, disability, pain and suffering, and medical expenses that she had to ensure as a result of her injury. Shelia Sydnor claims that she was knocked to the ground and seriously injured by a dog located on the property. She claims to have sustained serious injuries as a result of the fall. Sydnor states in the lawsuit that she was lawfully on the defendant's property when a dog came out of nowhere and knocked her to the ground. She sustained injuries to ther thumb and ulnar collateral ligament. She seeks damages for her injuries after learning that the Illinois Animal Control Act states that she is permitted to sue the defendants for the cost of her medical bills, lost wages, and damages. Sydnor claims that the dog owner's neglience was the cause of her injuries. Personal Injury Lawsuit: Teacher Breaks Student’s Finger

by Administrator 2. May 2008 08:05
An 8 year old student’s finger was broken after a PE teacher allegedly threw a baseball to him at close range during class. Amy Bald, the mother of the student, has filed a lawsuit against Jack Bayers, the teacher. Bald claims that Bayers aggresive throw was the teacher’s way of getting revenge on the student after he dropped a catch. She is seeking $200,000 in damages on behalf of her son. Bald also claims that Bayers failed to obtain medical attention for the student after he complained of pain and that he believed his finger was broken. She states that Bayer had a duty to not injure a student and to obtain medical attention if there was any question that a student was hurt. He failed to do both.
