The dangers of "Black Friday"

by Administrator 30. November 2009 07:12

The day after Thanksgiving is known by most retailers as Black Friday. It is so named because it is the day that retailers expect to turn balance sheet from red to black, indicating positive results for their business.

Black Friday tends to attract a large number of shoppers in a short period of time because of the deep discounts offered by retailers. However, the large influx of people is often more than most stores can handle safely.

With such large numbers, retail stores pose risks to shoppers who may be running or pushing other shoppers out of the way in order to purchase discount items.

The dangers of off-road vehicles

by Administrator 16. November 2009 06:35

Many people enjoy riding off-road vehicles because of the thrill and excitement. However, riding these vehicles puts riders at a serious risk of injury.

These vehicles, which include 3-wheelers and ATVs, are often considered dangerous because of where they are driven. For instance, many people will drive their ATVs in off-road, unstable conditions that increase the chance of accident.

To reduce the chance of serious injury, riders should wear helmets and only ride in areas where they are familiar with the terrain.

Why would companies sell defective products?

by Administrator 9. November 2009 06:47

While many companies care about customer safety, some are motivated by generating profits. For this reasons, some companies will try to reduce costs by cutting expenses on product inspection.

When this occurs, some products that may be defective by process or design will be passed onto the customer. These defective products could cause serious injuries to customers.
