The danger of automobile air bag defects

Posted on Tuesday, January 26th, 2010 at 4:40 am

Automobile air bags are designed to release upon impact. This airbag mechanism is instrumental in preventing serious injuries that could result if the driver or passenger crashed into the windshield.

While most airbags work as designed, some do not deploy correctly or contain some defect that may be harmful to drivers and passengers. If these defects exist, then drivers or passengers may have cuase to file a personal injury lawsuit against air bag manufacturers.

What is a subrogation provision?

Posted on Tuesday, January 19th, 2010 at 7:01 am

Many individuals' health insurance policies include a subrogation provision. This provision entitles the injured party's insurance party to recover damages from the defendant's insurance company.

The subrogation provision may be put into effect after a car accident. In such a case, the injured party's insurance company may pay for the medical bills and other expenses related to the accident. If the injured party later proves that the defendant is guilty of negligence, then the injured party's insurance company may seek reimbursement from the defendant's insurance company.

Airport passenger pickup injuries

Posted on Monday, January 4th, 2010 at 5:05 am

Airports pose a serious risk of injury to pedestrians. Because of the high level of traffic in and around airports, pedestrians face a greater chance of being struck by a car or other type of vehicle.

While these accidents may not be serious because the vehicles are traveling at slow speeds, they can still result in serious injuries.  They often occur because drivers are not paying weaving in and out of traffic and not paying attention to fellow travelers.
