Kellogg’s issues voluntary food recall

Posted under Uncategorized

Big time cereal producer Kellogg's Company, under advisement from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, voluntarily issued a recall of several of its products on June 29th.

The products being removed from store shelves are Kellogg's Corn Pops, Honey Smacks, Froot Loops, and Apple Jacks.  While Kellogg's believes the risk of any complications related to these products is very low, it advises that consumers who have any of these products purchased before June 29th not eat them.

Kellogg's officials described the affected products as having an uncharacteristic smell and flavor coming from the liner of the packaging.  Foster's Food Fair IGA stated, "Until further correspondence from the manufacturer on this affected product, moving forward, it will not be available."
