54-year old construction worker Rocky Hanson was critically injured after being involved in a construction accident in Mosinee, Wisconsin on November 11. The accident occurred at a construction site located at 404 5th Street at around 8:40 A.M.
According to investigators, Hanson was driving a compacting machine when the ground beneath him collapsed. The area was next to a recently excavated portion of ground and was more susceptible to giving in than other parts of the construction site. The machine Hanson was operating rolled down an embankment before falling on top of him.
Emergency crews and paramedics rescued Hanson from underneath the machine and rushed him to Wausau Hospital. The construction worker was listed as being in critical condition upon arrival at the hospital.
