Today, Target Corporation executives announced that they have issued a voluntary recall of one of their most popular child booster seats. The recall was issued in association with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The store received 10 complaints from people who had bought and used the Circo Child Booster Seats saying that the safety belt on the booster seats can suddenly come open and put the child at risk of falling out of the seat. The complaints included three reports of children suffering from bruising after falling out of the chair their booster seat was on and onto a table or the floor.
The recalled products are the Circo Child Booster Seats sold at Target stores between 2005 and 2009. The recall includes 375,000 of the children's booster seats.
