The Department of Agriculture has announced that they will be posting food product recalls on state-specific Twitter handles soon. As of now, the recalls are announced in press releases and on a general Twitter account.
The change was decided by officials because many food recalls are specific to certain states where the products were sold and distributed.
With the new system, residents will be able quickly find out what has been recalled just by looking at the Twitter feed. Most state-specific food safety alerts include meats, poultry, and eggs.
If you or a loved one has become ill after eating a contaminated food product, you need representation on your side that may be able to help you receive the compensation you deserve.
