Son’s injuries prompt birth injury lawsuit

Posted under Green Bay birth injury attorneys

A newborn baby that sustained serious injuries during delivery has prompted his mother to file a medical malpractice lawsuit against the state-run hospital where he was born. The mother claims a delayed and botched delivery hurt both her and her son.

In 2008, the woman arrived at the hospital in active labor but was not taken into operation for a Caesarean section until more than eight hours later. The son suffered a skull deformity, a skull fracture, and subdural hemorrhages. The mother’s bladder was lacerated during the operation and later became infected.

The mother is claiming medical negligence led to an unsafe and delayed delivery of her son.
