NFL lawsuit changes in wake of Easterling’s suicide

Posted under Green Bay wrongful death attorneys

One of the more than five dozen concussion lawsuits filed against the NFL will be changed to a wrongful death case following the suicide of former Atlanta Falcons safety Ray Easterling.

Easterling, 62, was found dead last Thursday in his Virginia home due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His lawyer recalls his memory beginning to significantly deteriorate in the past six months.

Easterling and six other former players were the first to file lawsuits against the league for what they allege is negligence, carelessness, concealment of information, and intentional misconduct in regards to the long-term damage suffered from concussions.
