The Consumer Product Safety Commission, along with Wal-Mart and Toys R Us, is recalling nearly 21,000 Banzai inflatable in-ground pool water slides after it received reports of one consumer dying and two others suffering serious injuries while using the product.
A young mother died after fracturing her neck on the concrete edge of the pool when the slide suddenly deflated. Another woman fractured her neck but survived. A 24-year-old man became a quadriplegic after the slide deflated in a similar accident.
Consumers should stop using the product immediately. The slides can be returned to any Wal-Mart or Toys R Us store for a full refund.
