A 19 year-old Fond du Lac teen was arrested Monday evening by Menomonee Falls police after he led them on a chase with three young children in his car. According to the Menomonee Falls Patch, the pursuit began when he drove away from an officer after he fled the scene of an accident.
The chase ended when the driver lost control at the 124th Street exit on Highway 145 and drove into a fence. He attempted to escape on foot but was caught by a K-9 unit. The three children in the vehicle, ages 5, 4, and 3, were not harmed.
The teen failed a field sobriety test and was charged with OWI with minors in the car, obstructing an officer, bail jumping, and three counts of reckless endangerment.
