Three people hit by pickup truck near Country USA music festival

Posted under Car Accidents

Three individuals walking down South Washburn Street, north of the Country USA music festival, were hit by a southbound 1998 Ford F-150 pickup truck on June 25, the Green Bay Press Gazette reported.

A man from Wautoma sustained life-threatening wounds while the other two victims received minor injuries. The 17-year-old driver of the pickup truck, an Oshkosh local, was not injured in the incident. According to members of the Wisconsin State Patrol, alcohol was not a contributing factor to the accident.

The day of the accident, foot traffic was heavy along South Washburn Street leading up to the Ford Festival Park grounds where the Country USA music festival was being held. It remains unclear if that is where the victims were headed. The Oshkosh police and the Wisconsin State Patrol are conducting further investigations into the crash.
