Janesville speeding tickets declined in 2013

Posted under Car Accidents

The Janesville Police Department in Wisconsin issued fewer speeding tickets in 2013 than in the last 13 years, the department’s recently issued annual reports revealed, GazetteXtra reported on August 17.

According to Janesville police chief Dave Moore, one possible reason there were fewer speeding citations in the area last year is because police officers implemented a new system which required them to log their reports by computer from their squad cars, thereby taking precious time off from patrolling the streets. Despite this theory, data revealed that there has been a steady decline in Janesville speeding tickets since 2010.
