Clayton wreck results in one death, five injuries

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department reported that a 17-year-old Neenah, Wisconsin female teenager was killed and five others injured in a car accident on August 30 at the intersection of Highway II and Pioneer Road in Clayton, NBC26 reported.

According to preliminary investigations by police deputies, a car headed north on Pioneer Road did not stop at a stop sign and collided with a westbound SUV on County Highway II. The driver of the northbound car, who was 66 years old, incurred minor wounds and was brought to a local hospital after the incident.

Meanwhile, four of the five occupants of the SUV sustained injuries. Two of them – a 42-year-old and 48-year-old, both women – incurred life-threatening wounds, while the other two – a 20-year-old woman and the 45-year-old driver – suffered minor injuries.

One of the passengers, a 17-year-old girl, died at the scene of the accident.
