Man drives through accident scene, arrested for OWI

Posted under Car Accidents

A man, who was yet to be publicly identified by the police, was taken into custody on suspicion of operating while intoxicated after he drove through a barricaded accident scene, the Green Bay Press Gazette reported on October 10.

The suspect drove through a closed off accident scene at the intersection of East Walnut and Quincy streets in Green Bay. A pedestrian-car accident resulting in serious injuries had occurred earlier, and police closed the street down in order to further investigate the situation. According to Lieutenant Brad Strouf, reports stated a 45-year-old man was struck by a Hummer. No one from that accident had yet been charged with anything, although the man who erroneously drove through was arrested for a suspected OWI.
