Green Bay woman dies in East Mason vehicular crash

A vehicular accident that took place just before noon on Saturday, January 24 in front of the Astor Park Mini Mart on the corner of East Mason and Roosevelt streets in Green Bay, Wisconsin caused the death of an unidentified 59-year-old local woman, according to a January 24 article on the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

According to members of the Green Bay Police Department, the accident occurred when a vehicle heading south on Roosevelt and another one traveling west on Mason collided. Emergency medical staff gave treatment to the victim at the scene before taking her to a local hospital, where she later died of her injuries. Her name was not publicly released pending notification of her family and immediate relatives.

The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt in the accident.

The section of East Mason located between Irwin Street and Webster Avenue was closed in the wake of the accident as police conducted on site investigation. The street re-opened at 5:15 p.m.
