Couple’s personal injury case against Brown Co. to proceed on Aug. 17

Posted under Car Accidents

The jury trial of the case of 30-year-old Michelle Lecker Micheel and her husband Paul Micheel, versus the Brown County Sheriff’s Department in Wisconsin is set to proceed on August 17, 2015, the Green Bay Press Gazette reported on March 7.

The couple claims that the sheriff’s department was negligent when an officer in a high-speed chase crashed into Michelle’s vehicle, nearly killing her and causing extensive injuries. Three officers were in the vehicle at the time, and their patrol car was pursuing a stolen Dodge Viper along U.S. Route 41 on July 7, 2012 when the accident occurred.

The Micheels are seeking $5.37 million for Michelle’s damages–including injuries, medical expenses, pain and suffering, and lost earnings.
