Fatal accidents in Racine number 13 over just six months

According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation data, 13 people have been killed in vehicular accidents during the first half of 2015 in Racine County, according to The Journal Times on June 27.

Last year, 14 people died over the course of the whole year, and the average number of fatalities over the past five years is only 12. Among the 13 victims of fatal vehicular accidents in the area so far this year is Larry Burchell of Yorkville, who died on May 24 after his truck caught fire in a collision.

Three motor vehicle deaths occurred in the county in the third week of June alone.
