A two-vehicle collision injured one at the intersection of State Highway 37 and State Highway 85 in the Town of Brunswick near Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Thursday, August 13 at around 4:30 p.m.

According to preliminary investigations, a tractor-trailer hauling liquid asphalt and heading north collided with a pick-up headed south.

The male driver of the pick-up sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was brought to a local hospital for medical treatment while the male driver of the tractor-trailer was not harmed in the incident.

The Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office reiterates its reminder to motorists to obey the speed limit, be aware of their surroundings while operating a vehicle, and to not operate a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other impairing substances.

State Highway 37 was temporarily reduced to one lane of traffic while maintenance crews cleared the area.
