Three people injured in Sturgeon Bay three-vehicle collision

Posted under Car Accidents

Three people sustained injuries after one vehicle rear-ended another, forcing the second vehicle to rear-end another vehicle waiting to turn left.

The Sturgeon Bay Police Department identified the victims as De Pere resident Gabriel Garcia, Homosassa, Florida resident Gary Daniel, and Daniel’s passenger, who was not identified publicly. According to preliminary investigations, Garcia’s vehicle hit the stopped vehicle operated by Daniel from behind. Daniel’s vehicle was then forced to rear-end another car waiting to turn left, causing him and his passenger to be transported via ambulance to an area hospital to receive medical attention for their minor wounds. Garcia’s truck incurred minor damage, but Daniel’s vehicle was totaled and had to be towed from the scene of the accident. Garcia was cited for following too closely.
