On Monday, a 46-year old Sturgeon Bay man suffered multiple injuries in a bicycle accident involving a pickup truck.

Sturgeon Bay police reports indicate that the accident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. at the intersection of Shiloh Road and East Walnut Street.

The victim of the accident told police that the driver of the truck drove through a stop sign at the intersection without stopping.  Because the truck did not have a turn signal on, the bicyclist assumed they would continue straight, however the truck turned into the southbound lanes of Shiloh Road and hit the bicyclist.

The bicyclist suffered a right wrist fracture and injuries to the legs and chest.  Paramedics took the man to St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay for treatment of his injuries.
