Highway Collision Injures Cleveland Man

Posted under Uncategorized

An two-car accident on Interstate 43 Wednesday morning left one driver in the hospital.

Ron Van Goethem, a resident of Kewaunee, was apparently trying to change lanes while traveling northbound around 7:20 A.M. when he struck a vehicle in his blind spot. The two drivers were forced into the median, with Van Goethem swerving slightly into oncoming traffic and striking James Harris' pickup a second time before both vehicles came to a rest.

Van Goethem received a citation for negligence in his lane change. Harris, a 34 year-old from Cleveland, was hospitalized for back pain.
