The annual Wisconsin Film Festival started on Wednesday and will run through Sunday at eight Madison-area movie theaters. This year’s festival is presented by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Arts Institute and Department of Communication Arts.
Films by local and international filmmakers will be showcased, including Oscar-winner Rachel Weisz’s new film Deep Blue Sea. International documentaries, restored classics, indie dramas, and films made by Wisconsin natives will also play.
Tickets for each film are $5 with a valid student ID and $8 without an ID. Don’t forget to check out some of the festival’s special events with renowned filmmakers in attendance. For more information, check out 2012.wifilmfest.org.
