Wisconsin’s Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge closed

Posted under Car Accidents

A 400-foot span of the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge near Green Bay was indefinitely closed on Thursday, September 26 after a motorist reported a massive dip developing that seemed “akin to a roller coaster.”

Wisconsin Department of Transportation Officials said the cause of the sagging is the settling of a bridge pier.

Lieutenant Karl Ackerman of the Green Bay Police Department said the bridge must be closed to prevent accidents until the authorities can resolve the issue and find out if other piers have settled.

Although no one was injured by this defect, many people are hurt on unsafe roads every year. If you or a loved one have been harmed in a car accident caused by a road defect, you may be entitled to compensation.
